Freemans Bay Playcentre is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity*. The funding we receive from the Ministry of Education is minimal, and significantly less than is required to operate each year.

We are always open to new sponsorships, business partnerships and resource donations. Please contact us if you or your business is able to help in any way.

Ponsonby News provide continuous support with the promotion of our centre. 
BECA
BECA's leadership programme participants assembled and gifted us four Wishbone Wagons, worth a total of over $1,200.
Tatty's Designer Recycle
Tatty's assist with our regular Ponsonby Market Day cake stalls, providing tables, change and amenities to our volunteers. 
Westpac Ponsonby
Westpac Ponsonby provide the location for our regular Ponsonby Market Day cake stalls. 
Amp'T Electrical
Amp'T applied a generous discount to the bill for our lighting, heating and security upgrade, whilst also working hard to complete the work outside of session hours, providing minimal disruption.
Fruit Trees for Auckland

We received five fruit trees to plant on our grounds; feijoa, plum and three citrus.

Foundation North
We received a grant of $5,000 to replace the sand in our sandpit and purchase a new chain-weight cover to protect it.
Internal Affairs Community Organisation Grant Scheme
We received a grant of $3,000 to contribute towards the cost of a cleaner, allowing us to spend less time cleaning, and more time educating children.
Lion Foundation
We received a grant of $1,900 to purchase and install a new shade sail over our sandpit.

Grants 2014

Pub Charity
We received a grant of $10,863 to purchase and install outdoor curtains around two decking areas, sheltering us from wind and rain, increasing our available floor space by a third.

We received a grant of $2,067 to contribute towards the cost of a cleaner, allowing us to spend less time cleaning, and more time educating children.

Grants 2013

ASB Community Trust
​
We received a grant of $4,766 to purchase and install Autex wall coverings, improving the look of our centre while also reducing reverberated sound by up to 70%.
Auckland Council Environmental Initiatives Fund
​
We received a grant of $2,509 to contribute towards the cost of purchasing and installing a water tank, allowing us to reduce our water usage, reuse rainwater on our gardens and provide educational opportunities.
